Del Lincoln only wants to be a rock star. His ambitions go only as far as his next gig, until the day the earth changes. They travel city to city, looking for a safe haven while trying to rid the land of the undead. They believe they are spared for a reason, when actually they are simply forgotten. The Special One is the key to humanity. It will take dedication and sacrifice to complete the mission. Del and the others may be forgotten, but if they succeed, the human race will never forget them. Mankind is promised life after death, it is just never explained what the ‘Resurrection’ really entails.

I generally do not write reviews but I'm sad to say this book was just exceptionally terrible. I think I've seen at least 2 movies exactly like this but way better. The dialog between characters was depressingly sparse and the whole story lacked detail. I never felt even a sliver of emotion or suspense throughout the entire book. The characters were so blank and bland that I never connected with any of them. You can kind of figure out exactly where the book is heading almost immediately. I wont ruin it by giving away spoilers but it really was the worst apocalyptic story I've probably ever read and lacked any originality whatsoever. I'm really at a loss to explain all these 4-5 star reviews.Product details

I am a Druga fan. But this may be one of my all time favorites of hers. I went into it expecting it to be a PA zombie tale but was delightfully surprised as it morphed into more than that. It was uplifting and full of meaning. I really enjoyed this one. I would highly recommend this one whether you like Post Apocalyptic stories or not.
Stupid and vapid. It poses as christian apocalyptic fiction. This is shamefully pandering to those of us who enjoy Christian fiction. It's faith is as thin as her story line. This author should stick to her regular SciFi/Apocalypse books, which are an easy and entertaining read. I do NOT recommend this title however.
Flat out I will tell you I am a huge Jacqueline Druga fan. Pretty much every book I've read so far has been entertaining and intriguing. Once again she draws me in with a really great story line and characters in the book that you can't help but like. She weaves such a great tale and I just felt excited as the book was nearing the end because I really wanted to know what was going to happen to every one of the main characters. She did not disappoint me. If you love the apocalyptic genre then you must put this book on your MUST READ list soon!
character development wasn't very good. had some guy that showed up and they welcomed him with open arms and instant trust. let him keep watch while everyone else slept the very first night he was there even when some expressed opinions of him that were uncomplementary. every single situation they were in they did things that were unrealistic. The whole time I was reading I was wondering why they were doing these stupid things. also I didn't see how all the plant life that zombies came in contact with died yet the people were still able to survive among them. The author seems to have tried to write a religious zombie book and if you're not religious you may have trouble following along, or in my case, liking it.
This was a very interesting twist on the typical zombie novel. It was still full of adventure and twists but filled with hope at the same time. Very well written with a neat spiritual base. I recommend this book highly.
Highly recommend! Amazing story of God - of faith- sacrifice, love and zombies. Enthralling and thought provoking. Definitely worth reading
Jacqueline is one of my favorite authors...but I think this falls short of her usual wirting style. I didn't feel like I got to know the characters, they just weren't her usual "filled out" personalities. This book left me unsatisfied.
